Beginning this Fall, the American Desert Magazine television series will be available in over 150 television markets including all of the top 50 markets in the US.  It will also be distributed in all global regions reaching over 200 million households in major cities around the world!

About The Producer


Executive Producer, Ernest Cartwright, is an experienced television executive with a distinguished career of more than thirty years in broadcast and cable television including syndication, television station sales, international distribution, advertising sales, operations and production.

Currently, Cartwright is focusing on designing and implementing marketing and distribution campaigns as well as providing consulting and financing services to television and film producers domestically and internationally.  

As a partner and CEO of Pacific Lake Capital, LLC. Cartwright is also Executive Producer on multiple television projects   in development including: “Hot Topics with Judge Joe” (1/2 hr TV series), American Desert Magazine” (1/2 hr TV series), “CEO Poker” (1 hr TV series), “Talk About Magazine” (local market syndicated TV series), “Suacci Solar Index, VIP Network (a male-targeted TV network featuring poker, extreme sports, man cooking shows, travel and jet set lifestyle), and “Inside Track” focused on the intricate and exciting world of horse racing. Prior assignments include serving as co-President of Radar Distribution where Cartwright helped launch into broadcast syndication the first run court strip “JURY DUTY” with Bruce Cutler as Judge (Variety, August 7, 2007).

Earlier responsibilities included launching AIM TV’s distribution division as president of AIM Television Distribution (Variety, May 17, 2005).  Cartwright also served as Executive Vice President for Byron Allen’s CF Entertainment (Variety, May 7, 2003) where his duties involved domestic and international syndication of CF’s extensive library of first run programs. At CFE, he was also Executive in Charge of Production for two of CFE’s original shows, “Global Business People” and “Every Woman”.

In 2014, Cartwright was Executive Producer along with Barry Katz in the highly acclaimed “I Killed JFK” documentary which, at the time that it aired, was the highest rated program on freshly launched Newsmax TV.

As Executive Producer of “Good Morning Hawaii” (2006 and 2007), a first-run series produced in Hawaii (, Cartwright divided his time between Waikiki and his home in Malibu.  He now calls La Jolla and Palm Springs, California home.  “Work requires that I travel throughout the US and the rest of the globe.  It’s a great contrast to the laid back lifestyle I otherwise try to maintain. This business allows me to have the best of all worlds!” Cartwright’s hobbies include running, skiing, surfing, sailing, scuba diving, tennis and golf.
